Port Stanley Show & Art in the Park

Busy, busy, busy. The Port Stanley Artist Guild show is next weekend, June 13,14,15, at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall. It is just east of the famous Port Stanley bridge. and across the road from the historic London/Port Stanley Train Station. If you've never taken a ride on the L. & P. S. steam train you really should.
The opening reception (wine and hors d 'oeuvers) is Friday night 7-10. The show is on Saturday 12 to 8 and Sunday 12 to5. I'll be there Friday and Sunday. (have to work at the hated jobb Saturday).
Come and enjoy the art, and meet the artists, we have some extremely talented artists in the guild, you'll be able to say "I met them when..."
The following week is the Belmont and Area Horticultural Society/Dorchester and Area Artist Network Garden Tour/Art in the Park. Sunday June 22nd 12 -4 in the Belmont Community Park at the corner of Westchesterbourne (highway 74) and Caesar Rd (or Avon Drive as MapQuest insists it is).
I've been going a little crazy getting the Art part of this event organized, Argh!!! But we have as of last night 7 confirmed artists, and two who say they are (but I don't have their money).
I think it's going to be amazing, as long as the weather isn't stinky (please great Goddess of Art).
Don't forget the Charity Auction, The bid items go into White Oaks Mall in the Atrium Friday June 13th, and will be there until Saturday June 21st. The actual auction will take place that evening at the Four Points Sheridan. Call Jocelyne for tickets at 519-606-3000. And for goodness sake go to the mall and take a look at the items for bid, you might see something you can't live without.
As for my art, the last painting I did sucked so badly that it's going in the 'cut up for collage' bin. I won't wound your eyes with it.
I still don't have my re-do of Venus back from the framers. I do have another painting under way that I think is going to be really funky, so, as it progresses to a more recognizable state I'll show and tell until then TTFN.
